Personal Quotation: “Because most people are not trying to get rich with their money in retirement, they just want to be sure they are never poor”
Why did you get into the Financial Services Industry? I wanted to be able to make a significant difference financially in the lives of individuals, families and businesses for years to come. I recognized early on that many of the things we need to be doing to get our financial affairs in order are often pushed to the side. I wanted to own a firm that understands that we need to encourage a proactive approach and action on the client’s part. Without that, individuals, families and businesses may suffer the devastating effects that come from a lack of good financial planning.
Where did you go to school & what certifications do you have? I attended William Paterson University and received a certificate of completion on Retirement Income Planning held at the highly recognized Aresty Institute of Executive Education at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2013. I have received various industry awards in my 25 years in practice including qualification to Million Dollar Round Tables Top of the Table. In 2016, I received the honor from Stockton University of being inducted into the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society as an honorary inductee. I am also currently serving on The Stockton University Foundation Board of Directors.
What is the most valuable piece of advice/wisdom you’ve received? My mother once told me that “it is only in giving that we receive”. I strive to work with all my clients in this fashion using what I call a “serve first” philosophy. Understanding that if I serve the client first, everything else will fall into place.
What charitable organizations are you affiliated with? I sit on the boards of both the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City and the Noyes Museum of Art. I have Chaired the Golf Fore Kids event each year for the Boys and Girls Club where we have consistently raised in excess of $100,000 each year. My wife and I sit on many committees for AtlantiCare, The Shultz - Hill Foundation and The Womens Forum. We belong to St. Gianna Beretta Molla parish where both my wife and I have served for many years as Catechist’s.
